This week on History Alive we interviewed Georgia Childers Phillips and her husband Bobby. Georgia was born in Letcher County but spent much of her childhood in Harlan County in the Wallins area. Georgia has lost of stories of growing up in Wallins and later moving back to her birthplace of Letcher County.

History Alive – Adams Vets – 7-5 & 7-8-12

This week on History Alive we traveled to the Harry Caudill Library in Letcher County to talk with Susan Adams. Adams is a native of Letcher County and has been involved in genealogy research for many years. She was instrumental in a veterans oral history project in Letcher County some years back, and she continues to have an interest in local and family history.
