Hillbilly Solid 10.12: Jason Howard
Hillbilly Solid 10-24-12
In the latest episode of Hillbilly Solid, host Silas House welcomes special guest Jason Howard to the program. Howard is a Kentucky author whose newest book, A Few Honest Words: the Kentucky Roots of Popular Music, profiles many of the wildly successful musicians across many genres (from the Judds to My Morning Jacket to The Nappy Roots) who hail from Kentucky and how their sense of home is woven into their work. Silas and Jason discuss the book and the musicians that it profiles while listening to selections from these Kentucky artists.

Is it possible to get a playlist of the music aired on the most recent archived Hillybilly Solid show? Great music. Unfortunately, I’m unfamiliar with the artists and would like to be able to purchase their music. Thanks!
