In this edition of WMMT’s monthly Health Matters call-in show, host Dr. Van Breeding and guests discussed autism, as well as the unique challenges and issues inherent to raising children who have autism. We hear from local parents and school administrators about the autism programs here in Letcher County and how well they are working. We also hear from some local festival organizers who recently put together a day-long music festival at Riverside Park in Whitesburg specifically to benefit our local autism programs.
ALSO: Dr. Breeding will hit the WMMT airwaves Monday, June 25 at 6 for the June installment of WMMT’s Health Matters. Monday’s show will deal with strokes, and will touch upon many stroke-related issues, including effects and treatment. If you miss the show, be sure to check our Health Matters streaming archives here, where you can hear every program dating back to our original show in January. Also remember that the airwaves open to your phone calls for Dr. Breeding and his guests at 6:30, as they do every month.
